Ripley Entertainment Attractions Draw 12 Million Guests in 2004

Orlando, Fla. - (January 12, 2005) Ripley Entertainment, a global leader in attractions, recorded another successful year in 2004, drawing more than 12 million guests to its attractions around the globe.

In addition to its attractions, Ripley Entertainment also secured success in 2004 in its publishing division with the release of the 75th anniversary of Ripleys Believe It or Not!, which rose to number five on the New York Times best-seller list.

The original Believe It or Not! cartoon continues as a classic hit, enjoyed daily in nearly 200 newspapers across 42 countries. The Believe It or Not! television show was syndicated in 2004, and is now seen in 120 countries.

In 2004, the company´s 48 attractions in 10 countries included the popular Believe it or Not! museums, two world-class Ripley´s aquariums, Louis Tussaud´s Wax Museums, Ripley´s Haunted Adventures, and Ripley´s Moving Theaters. Four new attractions are slated to open in 2005.
Executives with the Orlando-based company are looking forward to another successful year in 2005. In March 2004, Ripley announced it was creating a $200 million family entertainment resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Set to open in 2006, the Niagara Falls resort will include the 406-all suite Great Wolf Lodge, with a 94,000-square-foot indoor entertainment area, including a massive temperature-controlled water park. The following year, the 115,000-square-foot Ripley´s Aquarium of Canada is set to open, adjacent to Great Wolf Lodge. Ripley Entertainment is the sole owner of both Great Wolf Lodge and Ripley´s Aquarium of Canada.

CEO Robert Masterson noted that Ripley Entertainment has grown by staying committed to the adventurous nature of its founder.

Our mission is, and always has been, to bring the wonders of the world to people of all ages, Masterson said. Our worldwide presence continues to grow and change to meet the needs of families everywhere.
