Ripley Entertainment President to Visit China’s Asian Amusement Expo

ORLANDO, Fla. (July 7, 2006) - Bob Masterson, president of U.S.-based Ripley Entertainment, will be in Shanghai attending the Asian Expo, sponsored by the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre from July 12-14.

He will be a part of the Expo's opening press conference at 10 a.m. on July 12, and will be a guest speaker at the Leaders' Luncheon later in the morning where he will speak on "The Business of Fun,??? along with Rob Norris, IAAPA chairman. Mr. Masterson will be available to media immediately following the luncheon and for the remainder of the week to discuss Ripley's unique expansion plans for the Chinese Tourism market.

Briefly, the company plans to build attractions and other leisure facilities that will attract and appeal to the internal Chinese tourism markets. As a large and creative entertainment company, Ripley's fills an unusual niche in that it is one of the world's largest attraction companies, with more than 12 million in annual attendance. What makes this company unique is that it attracts this volume of business without owning or operating a theme park or amusement park.
