Orlando, FL (July 3, 2017) – Ripley’s Believe It or Not! is proud to announce their Homespun Heroes of the week!
This week, St. Augustine has two amazing nominees.
Dani-Lynn Early was nominated mother, Amelia Early. Dani was born with three congenital heart defects. She is two-years-old and has endured open-heart surgery. She has gone into heart failure, and works hard at her physical therapy. At two-years-old, she has shown more courage, faith, and fight than her family could ever hope for. Despite her medical condition, her family describes her as having “spunk.”
Brody Lamb was nominated by his mother, Shanda Lamb. Brody’s mother calls him a blessing. At four-weeks-old he had invasive open-heart surgery to repair two heart defects. Brody is now 8-months-old and thriving.
Aaron Huntsman was nominated. He fought to overturn Florida’s ban on same sex marriage and won the first ruling in the state. He has traveled to other states fighting for equal rights, including a trip to the steps of the Supreme Court, and attended Capitol Hill meetings with members of the Congress and Senate. He started a nonprofit organization called LoveisLove Foundation Inc. that works to educate, promote, and achieve equal rights for all LGBT citizens.
Robert Hammond Jr. was nominated by Ed Weeks. Robert is the owner of local small business, Atlantic Physical Therapy. He supports youth programs such as the surrounding POP Warner Youth Football and Little League organizations. He has established awards for local high schools for athletes.

Janet McKenzie was nominated her daughter, Bridgette. Janet works non-stop to provide for her family. She is a role model for her family and the community.
Winners receive a prize pack from Ripley’s including a lifetime pass to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and will be registered for Super Hero Sweepstakes grand prize of $2500 plus $2500 for their favorite charity.

This program is part of Ripley’s Superhero Summer, which includes Marvel® character appearances over the summer with a portion of all proceeds on appearance days going to charity, and a Sweepstakes of $2500 for the winner and $2500 for their favorite charity.
On character appearance days, Ripley’s will show the film Look to the Sky by producer Brett Culp. Look to the Sky is a full-length film about children who have overcome incredible obstacles to give back. It is a truly inspirational film that celebrates the theme of our Superhero Summer, giving back and helping our community.
